The face-to-face services offered by FARS are currently closed.
Please make use of our website for English and Farsi information about addiction and recovery.FARS aims to:- Raise awarenes of addiction and promotes recovery to the Farsi speaking community members affected by addiction.
- Empower and support Farsi addicts towards abstinence and recovery.
- Provide information and support to Farsi speaking family members affected by addiction.
- Raise awareness of the needs of the Farsi speaking community member affected by addiction to relevant drug services and government agencies.
To achieve these aims, FARS provides free and confidential services to the following 4 client groups:- Free and confidential helpline to discuss your drug and or alcohol problem- within UK
- Information about recovery routes and treatment system and procedures - within UK
- Discuss your drug / alcohol problem face to face with a FARS drug worker - within London
- Qualified farsi speaking drug worker can accompany you to a drug service provider of your choice for support and translation services - within London
- Provide you with information about 12 Steps Fellowship meetings and further support services for your ongoing recovery - within UK
- Information on how to help yourself or your loved one affected by addiction - within UK
- Meet with FARS drug worker and find out about family support groups or 12 steps Fellowship meetings in your area - within London
FARS services are created to compliment and support Farsi agencies in UK.- Refer your clients with a drug and or alcohol problem to FARS and reduce your agency's workload
- Make use of FARS's interactive Farsi / English website and enhance your agency's facilities
FARS aims to facilitate the engagement of your Farsi speaking clients into treatment- Farsi drug worker can support and provide Farsi / English interpretation during the Engagement phase of your Farsi client's treatment. (2 sessions with in Greater London only)
- Telephone support and Farsi / English translation services throughout UK
- Use FARS's parallel Farsi / English website as a communication tool with your Farsi clients to explain:
- Treatment procedure & journey
- Types of treatment
- Aspects of addiction
- Information and support services for Farsi family members
