Mission


  1. The relief of poverty, sickness and distress among the community at large and in particular the Farsi-speaking people, who are dependent upon or affected by addiction to drugs, alcohol and other similar substances or compounds of potential or suspected danger to the individual and the community, by the provision of advice, information, counseling and support, especially, but not exclusively by:
    1. Combating substance misuse and addiction among the diverse community members and in particular the Farsi speaking community in the area of benefit.
    2. Educating the diverse community members and in particular the Farsi speaking community in the area of benefit on the moral, social, legal and health issues associated by with substance misuse and addiction.
    3. Creating understanding, information and education amongst the diverse community members and in particular the Farsi-speaking of the effect various substances, thus raising their awareness as to the signs of substance by their children or other people in the area of benefit.
    4. Helping to direct the diverse community members and in particular the Farsi-speaking community who are suffering from the effects of substance misuse, to the specialized agencies where they can receive the appropriate treatment and, or counseling
  2. The education and training of the individual and the community at large and advancement of education and training and research into the danger arising from the habitual or other use of drugs together with publication of literature and of the results of any relevant research
  3. The raising of awareness of the needs of the the diverse community members and in particular, the Farsi-speaking people who are affected by substance misuse, through research and the creation of partnerships with local / national and or relevant agencies and organizations with the aim of developing best practice and appropriate services
  4. The provision of education for the prevention of substance misuse by providing culturally sensitive drug education and prevention initiatives to the community through schools, community centers and other appropriate organizations.
