FARS Services Limited ("FARS Services") makes every effort to safeguard your privacy.

• If you are asked to supply any personal information to the FARS Services website (personal information is anything which enables us to identify you in any way such as your name or e-mail address) then in handling such data we are legally bound by the Data Protection Act 1998 to ensure that it is only used for the purpose for which it was first requested and to ensure that the data is held securely.


• Any information provided by you to the FARS Services will normally only be used within FARS Services and will not be passed to others outside of FARS Services without first obtaining your consent (unless FARS Services are required by law to disclose the information or we take the view that there is a serious risk of harm either to yourself or to another).


• FARS Services provides information, interpretation, support, drug awareness and research services based on our limited knowledge and only in respect of drug related issues. It is your decision and responsibility to enter into treatment with another service provider and you should note that our resources are limited and not absolute.
  
  If based on the information you have provided us about your drug problem and the limited information we have provided you about drugs and drug service providers you decide to enter into treatment and wish for a member of FARS Services to accompany you for support and Farsi interpretation services, then FARS Services will require your written consent to do this and your agreement that we may pass on any relevant data/ information about you to that organisation. We would also need your written consent for FARS Services to liaise with those services providers.


• Please note that once we have your consent to pass the data/ information to another organisation, the protection of data then becomes that other organisation's responsibility.


• FARS Services will only retain the information you have provided us for a limited time and thereafter destroy it.


• From time to time FARS Services may conduct research and may wish to use some of the information given to us for research purposes but FARS Services will not disclose your identity. The information gathered would be anonymous statistics and we would need your written consent if you wish for any information or comments you have given us to be identified.


• In accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998 we will only hold your personal information as long as is reasonably necessary.


• Please note that from time to time FARS Services may wish to analyse how users use the site. Part of this analysis is likely to use “cookies” which are text files on your computer, to collect standard information about Internet logging and visitor behaviour information. Cookies will not identify you personally but they will identify the computer that you have used. (You can set out procedure for how to control cookies if you wish).
